Brian Love was appointed Director of Clean Technology and Advanced Manufacturing at the formation of the Ontario Investment Office in October 2016. His position gives him responsibility for mid to large sized Ontario companies with growth mandates within these sectors and allows him to continue his commitment to support targeted Ontario businesses. Brian joined the Ontario government in 2003, after an extensive career in the private sector owning, operating and consulting with small to mid-sized businesses in the province. He moved to management in 2005, assuming the position of Manager Central Region, Business Advisory Services. He worked on secondment at the then Ministry of Research and Innovation and completed a range of acting directorships across the ministry, before assuming the position of Director of Business Advisory Services in 2011. While holding this position, Brian worked on a number of ministry initiatives, including formation of the Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs (ONE) and the Partnership Council for Employment of Persons with Disabilities. Brian has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters of Business Administration, both from York University. Originally from Toronto, he’s a long time resident of Peterborough.
